Core Classes

At Hope, we use the 101 – 401 Discovery Classes to give our people a common, basic fund of knowledge so that we can work together more easily and fully.

Each of the classes ends with an opportunity to make a basic commitment (covenant) to act upon what you have learned. We recognize that people become what they are committed to. At Hope, covenants provide a basis for common commitments, and further training is based on prior commitment.

Discovering Spiritual Maturity, Class 201
Why we offer…
At Hope, we want to help you grow in your walk with Christ. There are four basic habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow in spiritual maturity. During this class you will get an in-depth look at each of those habits.

Benefits to you…
You will gain a clear understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Then you will learn the key practices that you can build into your life that will help you grow and flourish in your walk with God: Quiet Time, Prayer, Tithing and Fellowship.

Prerequisite: Church Membership

Discovering My S.H.A.P.E., Class 301
Why we offer…
God has designed you to serve in His work through the church. God has created each of us with unique gifts. And, He has allowed us to go through experiences in life so that we can better connect with and minister to people. At Hope, we desire to help everyone find a place to serve that fits with how God has shaped them for ministry.

Benefits to you…
Through this class experience and the assignments you’ll be given, you can discover how God has shaped your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences to enable you to minister to others.

Prerequisite: 201 Covenant

Discovering My Mission, Class 401
Why we offer…
God is at work all around us. At Hope, we want to help you learn God’s purpose and mission for your life and how you can join Him in what He is doing in the world today.

Benefits to you…
The class provides a focused picture of what living on Kingdom Mission looks like. During the time, you go more deeply into sharing the gospel, get ideas for increasing your outreach potential and learn how to be involved in the global mission.

Prerequisite: 301 Covenant
