  1. Why Join a Summer Group?

    • Connect with People – a great place to make friends.
    • Grow Together – experience true personal growth.
    • Have Fun – hang out with friends.
  2. What does it mean if I sign up?

Signing up means you intend to attend the group launch meeting. The launch meeting is an opportunity to meet the others in your group and find out what the group is all about. At this meeting you can “join” the group, letting the leaders know that you plan to be a part as you can and that you’d like to be kept in the loop on what the group is up to throughout the summer.

  3. Which Group is right for me?

All of our groups this summer are sermon-based, meaning a group gets together to dig deeper into the Sunday messages to help each other live them out. Some of the groups do this in a living room, others do it in a park or on a golf course. You can also consider the make-up of the group and when and where the group meets.

  4. When do Summer Groups begin and end?

Summer sign-ups begin on May 20. Groups kick-off the week of June 4 and will wrap up the week of July 30.

  5. How often do the groups meet?

They meet weekly unless there is a reason to skip a week.

  6. Where will my group be meeting?

The catalog displays the general area where a group will meet. After you register, your leader will contact you with an exact location.

  7. Is there childcare?

Depends on the group. Each group may arrange childcare for those who need it. Parents should be prepared to pay a reasonable fee to cover the cost.

  8. Can I invite friends to my group?

Yes! Groups at Hope are always a good place to include friends. In the fall and spring Growth Groups have a definite registration period and then close so that the group can bond and focus on growth. Summer Groups are built around connecting with others and so groups stay open, allowing people to be at every group meeting or come and go as they need.

  9. I've got a vacation (or two...) scheduled this summer. Should I still sign up?

Yes! Summer Groups are flexible so you can come and go as you need throughout the summer. This way you can enjoy your summer plans but also keeping moving forward in your relationships with God and people.
