Meet the Myers

Teresa Myers

I moved to Fort Worth from Wyoming to join Hope. My husband and I decided that finding a church that could help us in our daily lives would be our main criteria in deciding where to live after college.

There is no "perfect" church, but being a part of Hope and the people I've gotten to know here has helped me grow in many unexpected ways. I am challenged frequently to evaluate my expectations and decide to make life about someone other than me.

The training and teaching I have received at Hope has helped me become a better mother, wife and friend than I would be otherwise. I have received a lot of encouragement from watching other women live their daily lives. I have seen how they relate in authentic ways to their kids, husbands neighbors and co-workers.

Rick Myers - Pharmacist

I moved to Texas to be a part of Hope Church. A trusted friend and leader advised my wife and I to look not just at the job offers I was receiving to work as a pharmacist. He encouraged us to put a priority on finding a solid church which would help us to continue developing our character and spiritual life after college. Hope was on a very short list of such churches.

Through the years, my wife and I have benefited so much from the friendships and instruction at Hope. We enjoy passing on that help and encouragement to those who are new here. On Wednesday nights we lead a group for New Members.

Through the teaching and values lived out at Hope, I have learned how to be a successful husband, father, and employee. I've made numerous mistakes along the way, but I cannot imagine how different my family or career would have been without the practical, Bible-based teaching and wise counsel I have received.
