Jake Myers - Discipleship Pastor of Hope Church

Jake Myers serves as Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Hope Church in Fort Worth, Texas. After growing up at Hope Church, Jake returned to Fort Worth after college and became a member in 2015. He joined Hope's pastoral staff in January 2026.

Jake is passionate about helping people take their next steps with Christ. He believes that spiritual growth rarely happens by accident. Just as physical fitness requires consistent training, becoming more like Christ requires intentionally showing up, practicing righteousness, and putting God's ways into action. He wants to help everyone become everything Christ wants them to be.

At Hope Church, Jake oversees discipleship, small groups, missions, serving, evangelism, training, and assimilation. Through these ministries, he helps people connect with the church, grow in their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and discover opportunities to serve others. Whether someone is just beginning to explore Christianity or has followed Jesus for years, Jake loves helping them identify and take their next step.

Jake earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Northwest Seminary and completed ministry training through NorthStar (2016–2018) and the Antioch Project (2020–2025).

A Fort Worth native, Jake is married to Annie and has three children. He enjoys playing with his kids, working out, playing basketball, and watching movies. Known for his enthusiasm and genuine friendship, Jake loves investing in people and helping them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
